It could be because of the recent updates. A lot of xkit extensions stopped working the other day and it took a couple hours to get it working again. Do you have version 6 of xkit?

I think you have a common extension on in both xkit and missing e so they both open a tab. Also the extension to add tags automatically is in missing e. Either under social features or post features
